From 1999 to 2002 photos on our website were created with a Nikon CoolPix 950 digital camera. Beginning August 2002, I upgraded to a Nikon CoolPix 4500. In 2007 we transitioned to a Fuji FinePix F31fd and in early 2008 began using FinePix F50fd.

Digital images are created by mounting the camera on a copy stand, using the camera's macro feature and adjusting the camera's light source setting to coincide with the environment in which I am taking pictures. Final preparation of photos for web site display is done with Adobe's Photohop 7.0.

Much of the process I use to produce our site's photos has been adapted from 35mm techniques learned at the 1997 ANA Summer Seminar's Coin Photography course. (More information on the ANA Summer Seminar program here.)
